It’s 2024, and more people than ever are using social media to find people they are interested in dating. They also use it to kind of get a feel for who’s out there, or to put people on their romantic radar. There’s nothing wrong with this at all, given the era we’re in.

However, with social media being widely used for the above, there are potential red flags to be aware of. Whether you’re seeking or being sought-after on social media, you should know what these red flags are.

Although there are many that can be covered, let’s discuss seven of the most common potential social media red flags.

Note: Remember, these red flags pertain to using social media for dating purposes.

1. Large Number Of Friends/Followers

A large number of friends and/or followers on social media can be a red flag. It may mean they:

. Simply love attention

. Using it for business purposes only

So, if you receive a friend request or a follow from someone who you want on your romantic radar, then get a feel for why they have a large following/friend count.
