Elon Musk: Wants To Supply Energy to People In England
Tesla Eyes the UK Energy Market
In the coming months, you could see Tesla breaking into the UK energy market — a move that might shake up how households like yours get their power. And this means Tesla won’t be just about electric vehicles.
If approved, Tesla will go head-to-head with some of the biggest energy suppliers across England, Wales, and Scotland.
This could give you (if you’re in the UK) more choice, potentially better rates, and access to greener energy solutions.
The Application That Could Change the Game
Tesla Energy Ventures Limited did file an application with Ofgem, which is the energy regulator in the United Kingdom. The application was filed at the end of last month. And now a a launch in the UK is highly possible.
More Than Just Cars
You probably know Tesla for its electric vehicles, but the company also runs a growing energy business. They’re into battery storage, solar panels, and large-scale renewable solutions.
And Tesla appears to be good at growing revenue, as their energy products ended up generating over $1.4 billion in revenue last year.
