TikTok’s going bye-bye in America; Say Hello To M2

Note: This is an article about my opinion on the M2 app coming to America.

By now, you might be aware that TikTok is planning to release a new app to Americans. The new app will be dubbed ‘M2’, which will replace TikTok in America.

TikTok will eventually be phased out in America, and users will need to make the switch to M2. The reason? Because apparently TikTok will not be sold, therefore will be banned in America.

I believe TikTok has plans on existing the USA at some point in 2026, but the M2 app will be released in September 2025.

My Opinion: The Good & The Bad About The M2 App

Now, let’s jump into the good and bad about the M2 App; Potential good and bad I should say.

The Good

. New App, New Opportunities
Whenever a new platform launches, there’s a fresh playing field. Early adopters tend to see faster growth because there’s less competition and more visibility for content.

Creators who jump on board right away might secure their place before it gets saturated.
