Medium Membership: I Might Cancel It

My Thoughts: Medium ain’t got enough money on hand
I’ll cut right to the chase; I don’t think Medium got enough money on hand to pay writers what they used to pay.
Why Do I Think It’s A Money Issue
Simple, because months ago I saw the CEO make a post (I can’t find it now). It mentioned how Medium was finally profitable, and for the first time no money came out of the previous CEO’s bank account.
But also, recently the current CEO made a passing comment about how there’s no more investor funding coming to rescue Medium.
So, this tells me Medium has a money/payout/cash distribution to writers problem. (This is just my opinion, and what I think!)
Spam Issues Were Mentioned (But Medium Opened The Floodgates)
I get it, recently there has been an influx of spammy comments. But Medium opened up the floodgates to this. The company opened up the Partner Program to a whole bunch of other countries.
