I wrote a poem recently about Delft, which is an amazing place. But that got me thinking that the entire Netherlands is an amazing country, which then got me thinking about the people.

I actually think the Dutch folk are extremely friendly group of people, in general.

I’ve spent lots and lots of time in the Netherlands, and without a doubt I have never had an overly bad experience with anybody in the Netherlands.

I get it, everyone has different experiences, thoughts, and opinions; But my opinion in general is the people of the Netherlands is a great bunch.

The Love of the Dutch Folk

Beneath the skies where low winds roam,
The Dutch have carved both land and home.
With hands that pulled the sea away,
They greet the dawn of every day.

A nation built on strength and grace,
With steady hearts and open face.
They ride through streets where tulips bloom,
And laughter fills the market’s room.
